This expedition involved an early flight from Gatwick on Monday morning hence the journey commenced the previous afternoon. Fortunately the roads were quiet and I arrived at the car park ‘meet and greet’ in around 4 hours. Despite the quiet roads, I still found the unfamiliarity of the M25 quite daunting.
After dropping the car off I wandered into the North Terminal to find my excellently located overnight accommodation.
Once checked in I found the lounge bar and enjoyed a refreshing beer and a snack.
Up early the following morning for the 7.10 flight to Catania and a busy day of travelling.
Once in Catania, a two hour transfer to Milazzo to catch the ferry to Lipari.
After a transfer to the hotel time for a welcome drink and a stroll down to the main piazza for dinner.
Back to the hotel and a nightcap in the bar. Busy day!
