Autumn Cruise Adventure Day 8: Le Havre.

Overslept! Awoke 9.45 and hastily got ready as was meeting friends at La Vista at 10.30 to go to MuMa in Le Havre, which fortunately does not open until 11.

MuMa lived up to expectations. Although the ground floor was closed, the upstairs gallery hosted a fabulous exhibition of paintings.

After a hot chocolate in a local bar, onto the Saint-Joseph Church.

Feeling peckish I found the cafe I ate at last November. I love this place because it has fabulous food at a reasonable price and is very not touristy!

As expected fabulous lunch from the Formule Midi: Blanquette de Poissons followed by desert de jour (a beautiful moist apple cake). Washed down with a glass of house wine.

The afternoon was spent pottering around Le Havre.

Back on board early evening. Meet up at 8 in Anderson’s bar prior to our final dinner, this time in the Opal restaurant.

Time for one last show

  1. Love your wanderings – wondering if the statue of Francois 1 had the rather large nose that he was known for….? The blanquette de poissons looks delicious!
