An early start for the 6.10 flight from Manchester. Smoothly through check in and security, a bit of breakfast then onboard for departure, only to be delayed due to French Air Traffic control being on strike. Fortunately half an hour later the flight took off. The journey to Malta is just 3 hours.

Once in Valletta a short transfer to the cruise terminal, bizarrely built into the city walls.
Onboard by midday and time for a bit of lunch and a glass of wine.

Having taken my swimwear in my hand luggage I relaxed in the Maltese sunshine until the cabins were ready.
By the time the cabin was ready my luggage had also arrived onboard.
After a quick freshen up time for the solo get together. A group of 10 of us decided to dine in the main restaurant.

Dinner was lovely. After dinner time was spent on deck overlooking Valletta.
Around 9.30 we sailed away, heading towards Italy.
