Having visited Copenhagen previously with Kevin during our interrail days I really wanted to do something very differently when we docked in Copenhagen, hence my sojourn over the Øresund bridge into Sweden.

Many years ago we had watched a Nordic noir ‘broen’, based on a murder on the bridge at the point where the two countries meet, so driving over the bridge proved interesting.
Our first stop Lund was a quiet town with a cathedral and astronomical clock. The tour group assembled beneath the clock for a brief explanation prior to the midday event.
Next onto Malmo, a more bustling town. After pottering around the main square, I enjoyed a local pastry and coffee.




The excursion only lasted half a day, so once back at the ship I walked around the harbour into Copenhagen, passing the ‘little mermaid’,




Late evening we departed for Hamburg.
