A day cruising north through the North Sea.

In contrast to my childhood memories of the chilly, blustery east coast holidays, the sea was tranquil and the temperatures in the mid twenties.
The morning started with a session in the small gym on deck 11.

Time for a quick breakfast before pickleball on the games deck.

A quick meet-up for coffee with fellow solo travellers before time for the table tennis tournament. It soon became evident that some of the entrants were quite serious players, so was quite pleased to reach the semi finals.
After lunch from the buffet, enticed by the amazingly warm and sunny weather, a relaxing afternoon was spent in the pool and jacuzzi.
Tonight was ‘black tie’. A group of the solos decided to meet up in the bar and dine together.

The ‘celebration menu’ was underwhelming. But the company was good and the wine flowed, so an enjoyable evening.
