Walking the Amalfi Coast: Path of the Gods.

Awoke to a thick fog shrouding Bomerano, so a delay to the start of our final walk.

Path of the Gods

From the hotel we headed to the main square of Bomerano, the official start of the walk.

The first part of the walk heads down through a terraced valley with ruins precariously built into the craggy rock amphitheater.

The next section along the route afforded slightly more challenging terrain, scrambling up rocks and paths with precipitous drops to the side. But the views are stunning.

The vegetation changed to much denser scrub with oak trees, heather and rosemary.

From Nocelle the path lead onto the road to Montepertuso from where a series of long stairways lead down to the bustling resort of Positano.

Time for an ice cream and a paddle in the Mediterranean before catching the ferry to Amalfi. The walk was approximately 11km.

Back in Amalfi time for a spritz

From Amalfi we were transported back to the hotel in a minibus.
